They admitted to entering India illegally while traveling towards Khowai in an autorickshaw. In yet another shocking incident highlighting border security lapses, two Bangladeshi nationals were caught at Baijalbari Belfang naka point on Friday evening while attempting to move towards Khowai via autorickshaw.

During a routine check by Baijalbari police, the autorickshaw was stopped, and the two suspicious passengers were questioned. Shockingly, both openly admitted they were Bangladeshi citizens who had entered India illegally from Mohanpur side.

The detained individuals, identified as Khokon Sarkar and Anik Sarkar, were immediately taken to Baijalbari police station for interrogation.

This incident has raised serious concerns among locals, questioning how easily illegal immigrants are entering through sensitive border areas without checks. The public is demanding stricter vigilance and accountability from security forces deployed along the Tripura–Bangladesh border.

Locals expressed anger, stating such unchecked movements pose a threat to both security and the demographic balance of the region. Police have assured a full investigation is underway, but citizens are calling for concrete action rather than mere routine checks.
