TPSC Announces Major Job Openings for 2025 — 152 Vacancies for Agriculture and Food Safety Officers

The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has released two major recruitment notifications for government job aspirants in the state. The vacancies include 136 posts for Agriculture Officer under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, and 16 posts for Food Safety Officer under the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Agriculture Officer Recruitment (Advt. No. 21/2025)
The Agriculture Officer posts (TAFS Grade-I, Group-B Gazetted) require candidates to hold a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Horticulture. Applicants must be permanent residents of Tripura and preferably possess knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok. The age limit is 40 years, with relaxations as per rules. Online applications are open from July 24 and will close on August 20, 2025. The selection process includes a written exam and an interview.

Food Safety Officer Recruitment (Advt. No. 23/2025)
For the Food Safety Officer role, candidates must hold a degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related fields. Applications open on August 7 and close on September 2, 2025. The selection will be based on a written test and personality test.

Food Safety Officer – 16 Vacancies

·        Application Period: August 7 – September 2, 2025

·        Eligibility: Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D in disciplines such as Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Agriculture Science, Veterinary Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry or Medicine from recognized university

·        Age Limit: 18 to 40 years (with relaxation for reserved categories)

·        Application Fee: ₹350 (General); ₹250 (ST/SC/BPL/PH candidates)

·        Selection Process: Written exam (85 marks, MCQs) followed by personality test/interview (15 marks)
