43rd TTAADC Foundation Day Observed at Dasda; Cleanliness Drive Held at Kumbal Hathai Bazar
Dasda, August 23: The 43rd Foundation Day of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) was observed today at Kumbal Hathai Bazar in Dasda with a cleanliness drive organised as part of the programme.
The cleanliness initiative was attended by Kanchanpur MLA Philip Kumar Reang, along with members of Kanchanpur Tipra Motha YTF and TWF, who actively participated in cleaning the market area. The programme highlighted the importance of community participation, cleanliness and collective responsibility towards the development of the tribal areas.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Philip Kumar Reang said that the people of Tripura's tribal areas are still facing various challenges because the TTAADC has not yet received direct funding from Delhi. He alleged that due to the lack of direct financial support, the State Government has considerable influence over the functioning and development of the Council.
The MLA stressed that the creation of the TTAADC was a significant achievement for the indigenous people of Tripura and said that the people should take pride in the institution and work collectively to protect and strengthen it.
He urged the younger generation and community members to remain aware of the importance of the Autonomous District Council and contribute towards its progress.
The Foundation Day programme concluded with a renewed call for unity, responsibility and collective efforts to strengthen the TTAADC and safeguard the interests of the tribal communities.
