Ambassa, Tripura: With the Village Committee elections scheduled for Monday, polling personnel in Ambassa RD Block began moving towards their designated polling stations on Sunday morning amid tight security arrangements.
The upcoming elections have generated excitement among voters and election officials, as Village Committee polls are being conducted in the state after a 10-year gap. The use of ballot papers has added particular significance for young and first-time voters in the TTAADC areas.
Ambassa RD Block has a total of 41 polling stations. Polling teams started their journey from 8 AM, with arrangements in place to ensure that all personnel reach their assigned booths within the stipulated time.
Ambassa RD Block BDO and Returning Officer Barnita Biswas said that the administration was closely monitoring the situation to ensure that polling takes place without any untoward incidents.
She urged voters to maintain peace and participate in the election responsibly by exercising their democratic rights.
