Khowai Police Strengthen Security Ahead of September 28 VC Election
Khowai Police held a high-level security meeting ahead of the September 28 ADC Village Committee election. Five additional CRPF companies will support security arrangements at 53 polling stations across five blocks, alongside local police, TSR and BSF personnel.

The Khowai District Police administration has stepped up security arrangements ahead of the ADC Village Committee election scheduled for September 28 across Tripura.
A high-level security meeting was held at the conference hall of the Khowai Superintendent of Police’s office, chaired by District SP D. Jagadishwar Reddy. Senior officials from various security agencies attended the meeting to review preparations for ensuring a free, fair and peaceful election.
Representatives from the CRPF, Assam Rifles, BSF, Tripura State Rifles (TSR), State Police Intelligence Branch, Central Intelligence agencies and senior district police officials participated in the discussion.
Speaking to the media, SP D. Jagadishwar Reddy said polling would be conducted at 53 polling stations across five blocks in Khowai district. To strengthen security, an additional five companies of CRPF personnel have been brought into the district.
Local police, TSR and BSF personnel will also be deployed to support election security and maintain law and order. The security agencies will work together to ensure that voters can exercise their democratic rights without fear or disruption.
The SP expressed confidence that the election would be conducted peacefully and smoothly across Khowai district.
