Once again, political changes were witnessed today in the Karbook area as two families comprising a total of 13 voters left the Tipra Motha Party and officially joined the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT). The joining program was held in Karbook IPFT Oarty Office, where Karbook BAC Vice Chairman Pranab Tripura and local IPFT leaders and workers welcomed the new members with open arms.

The families who switched sides said that they still have deep love and respect for Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Kishore Debbarma, the leader of Tipra Motha, but they are unhappy with the functioning and leadership of the local Tipra Motha unit in the Karbook region. According to them, local-level leadership has become weak, and the voices of common workers are no longer heard. Feeling disappointed, they decided to resign from the party and join IPFT.

Local IPFT leaders, while welcoming the new members, said that their party has always been dedicated to protecting the rights and welfare of the indigenous people of Tripura. They expressed confidence that more people would join IPFT in the coming days as the party continues to work for the betterment of the tribal community.
