Tragic Accident on Karbook–Silachari Road: 2 Dead, 3 Injured; Karbook Fire Brigade Rushes Victims to Silachari Hospital
A major road accident on the Karbook–Silachari route near Ailmara claimed two lives and left three others seriously injured, with the Karbook Fire Brigade assisting in transporting the injured to Silachari Hospital.

A tragic road accident occurred today on the Karbook–Silachari road. According to police information, a vehicle bearing registration number TRO1A-2935 was traveling from Belonia toward Karbook with a total of 13 passengers. Near Ailmara, the vehicle lost control and met with a severe accident.
In the mishap, two people died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Eilbi Tripura and Karmati Tripura. Three others sustained serious injuries. The Karbook Fire Brigade promptly reached the scene and helped transport the injured to Silachari Hospital for immediate treatment.
Local residents stated that similar accidents have taken place at the same location in the past as well, raising concerns about the safety of this stretch of road.
SDPO Karbook, Gamanjoy Reang, informed that the initial investigation suggests the cause of the accident was the driver losing control of the vehicle. He also mentioned that necessary safety measures will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
