Tripura to Participate in PM-KISAN Diwas; Over ₹45 Crore to Be Transferred to Farmers' Accounts on August 2

Agartala, July 31, 2025:
The Government of Tripura, through its Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, has announced active participation in the upcoming "PM-KISAN Diwas" to be observed on August 2, 2025, in conjunction with the nationwide event being organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. The main event will be held in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India is set to release the 20th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme.

As part of the nationwide rollout, eligible landholding farmers in Tripura will receive ₹2,000 directly into their Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabled active bank accounts, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana. The state government has confirmed full preparedness for the disbursement process, which covers all eight districts of Tripura.

The Agriculture Department has issued detailed guidelines and has requested district authorities to make necessary arrangements for the successful coordination of the event.
