Bakma, Killa RD Block, Tripura, September 3, 2026:
A massive Tipra Motha rally was held on the evening of September 3 at Bakma under Killa RD Block, with around 1,000 supporters gathering to show their strength ahead of the upcoming Village Council elections scheduled for September 28, 2026.
The rally was organised in connection with the filing of nomination papers by Tipra Motha candidates contesting the forthcoming Village Council elections. A large number of party supporters participated in the procession and accompanied the candidates during the nomination filing.
Former CEM and current MDC Shri Purna Chandra Jamatia was also present during the rally and nomination filing programme. His presence attracted considerable attention among party supporters and local residents.
The rally proceeded towards the concerned nomination centre, where the candidates formally submitted their nomination papers for the election. Supporters raised party slogans and expressed confidence in the candidates and the party's prospects in the upcoming Village Council polls.
The September 28 election is expected to witness active participation from various political parties and candidates, with campaigning and organisational activities gaining momentum across different areas of Tripura.
The large gathering at Bakma was seen as an important show of organisational strength by Tipra Motha ahead of the Village Council elections.
