Jalaya Programme Draws Political Leaders and Supporters in Karbook

A political programme was held successfully at Jalaya under the 43-Karbook Assembly Constituency in Tripura on Saturday, drawing the participation of several political leaders and local supporters.

The programme was attended by former Executive Member (EM) Dolly Reang, along with Karbook MLA Sanjay Manik Tripura, Karbook Block party leaders Jannamoni Tripura, Tapan Debbarma and Dhansen Tripura, and several other party workers and supporters.

The programme comes amid heightened political activity in the Karbook area ahead of the upcoming Village Council election. The constituency has recently remained in the spotlight following the circulation of a viral video containing the controversial slogan “Chakma-Mog Go Back.” Following the controversy, an FIR was filed at Karbook Police Station, with supporters saying that the legal action would help restore confidence among people visiting the local evening market and other public places.

The presence of senior leaders and former EM Dolly Reang at the Jalaya programme added significance to the gathering. Leaders and supporters discussed the political situation in the Karbook RD Block and preparations for the upcoming election.

With political activities intensifying across the area, supporters of Tipra Motha expressed confidence about the party's prospects in Karbook. However, the final political outcome will be determined through the democratic election process and the decision of the voters.
