KAILASHAHAR, TRIPURA: The Unakoti District Administration organised the third episode of its ‘Unakoti Talks’ programme at the conference hall of the District Library in Kailashahar, bringing together the District Magistrates of Unakoti and North Tripura for an interactive session with students and young people.

The session was held on the theme “Women’s Journey in Public Service”, with Megha Jain, DM and Collector of Unakoti, and Chandni Chandran, DM and Collector of North Tripura, attending as special guests.

The programme was organised with the objective of strengthening direct communication between administrative officers and the younger generation. It also provided students with an opportunity to hear about the experiences and professional journeys of senior officials.

Megha Jain said that the district administration plans to continue the initiative by inviting accomplished professionals from different sectors. Future sessions may feature doctors, engineers, TCS officials and other prominent personalities who can interact with students and share their experiences.

Chandni Chandran praised the initiative and emphasised the importance of guidance and exposure for students from remote and marginalised areas. She said that although many students in such areas have talent, they may not always have access to the right opportunities or guidance.

According to her, open discussions such as ‘Unakoti Talks’ can help students develop a broader outlook and become aware of different career opportunities and possibilities.

The programme was also attended by IAS officer Shubham Meena, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Kumarghat, along with students and other participants.

The initiative seeks to create a continuing platform where young people can interact with experienced professionals, ask questions and gain practical insights into different fields of public service and career development.
