KARBOOK: Dissatisfaction is brewing among residents along the Chuitraham Para route to Karbook over low-quality highway construction. Villagers, including Ratan Kumar Reang, reported that contractor Bijoy Krishna Saha from Chellagang has been running construction operations for three consecutive days without abiding by basic statutory government rules.

Area representative and MLA Sanjoy Manik Tripura stepped in after observing that no SDO staff or engineers were assigned to oversee the project quality. MLA Tripura accused the contracting team of utilizing duplicated methods and inferior sand-based metal to cut financial corners. Demanding immediate intervention, the community and the MLA have urged state road authorities to halt the project right away and launch a comprehensive inquiry into the work done so far.
