"Thokai" Kokborok Film soon release on: 8th September 2025. Dark Comedy movie In a tale that screams "don't try this at home (or on YouTube)", two professional Class VIII repeaters — Lila and Sampurai — have finally put their five-time failure streak to good use by launching their very own “news channel.” Aptly titled “Thokai Live Breaking 24x7”, the channel breaks everything except actual news.
The duo, who were recently expelled from school for copying from each other during moral science exams, found a job notice for a reporter and cameraman. But why apply when you can DIY? Thus began their journey into the wild world of YouTube journalism, where facts are optional and drama is mandatory.
Instead of uncovering scams, they became the scam.
Instead of helping the poor, they helped themselves to the donations.
In short — journalism ka jugaad, Lila-Sampurai style.
In a moment of peak villainy, Lila decided to blackmail a poor student with a fake drug video. When the kid couldn’t pay up, Lila did what any logical dropout with a ring light would do — he uploaded the clip. The aftermath? Devastating. The boy was disowned, expelled, and tragically lost his life.
The police, finally tuning in to “Thokai Live,” found more drama than in a daily soap. From stolen donation money to fake tears rented at ₹500 per shoot — Lila and Sampurai had built an empire on lies, chai, and cheap data packs.
The law eventually caught up with them, but not before Sampurai was spotted trying to hide in a water tank — claiming he was “streaming live from inside corruption.”
Moral of the story:
Failing Class VIII doesn’t make you dangerous.
Turning into a journalist without ethics might.
