Dhalai, Tripura | July 4, 2025 — MLA Paul Dangshu of Tipra Motha, along with several party leaders, visited the Manu Police Station today to follow up on the case of a body discovered yesterday near the bank of the Manu River.
The victim has been identified as Chintarai Tripura, a local resident of Kacharicherra, Manikpur. According to Officer-in-Charge of Manu PS, four individuals have been arrested in connection with the case and are currently in judicial custody, having been produced before court.
“We expect a fair and swift judicial process,” MLA Dangshu said, urging authorities to ensure transparency and justice.
Police suspect foul play, and are investigating motives and possible links to local disputes. Autopsy reports and forensic evidence are being collected as part of the investigation.
Local residents have expressed relief at the prompt action by police and the engagement of elected representatives, hoping it will lead to a clear resolution.
