Voluntary Blood Donation Camp Held in Ambassa to Support Patients in Need
The blood donation camp in Ambassa was inaugurated through a ceremonial lamp-lighting programme attended by Councillor Shankar Chakraborty, Club Secretary Rajesh Sutradhar, Dr Amit Sabarna and others.
AMBASSA: A blood donation camp was organised by Aikatan Club in collaboration with the Ambassa Municipal Council on Sunday as part of an initiative to support patients requiring blood and promote voluntary donation.
The event began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp in the presence of invited guests. Councillor Shankar Chakraborty, Aikatan Club Secretary Rajesh Sutradhar, District Hospital Blood Bank doctor Amit Sabarna and others attended the programme.
The organisers said the camp was organised with the objective of helping reduce blood shortages and providing support to critically ill patients who may require blood during treatment.
They highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation, saying that a healthy person's donation can potentially help save another person's life.
Members of the club, young people from the locality and other residents participated in the camp and donated blood.
The organisers also encouraged the public, particularly young people, to take part in similar humanitarian and community-service initiatives in the future.
