Karbook, Sept 5:
A heartbreaking story of poverty has emerged from Panjiham H/S School, Karbook, Gomati District, where a young boy struggles every day just to continue his education.

Sukul Dhan Tripura, a Class 4 student and son of Bhagirath Tripura from Sam Krishna Para, South Karbook, owns no clothes or pants apart from a single set of school uniform and one pair of shoes provided by the government. Outside school hours, he covers his body with just a towel as he has no other clothes to wear.

Every evening, Sukul carefully washes his only shirt and pant so that he can wear the uniform again the next day—his only way to remain in school. Despite these challenges, he continues to attend classes with determination.

According to staff members of NHIDCL, who are engaged in National Highway construction near Karbook, the boy had been seen watching their work for several days. On closer observation, they noticed his poor condition—without slippers, without spare clothes, living in extreme poverty. The NHIDCL staff then brought his case before the public in hopes that help could reach his family.

The condition of Sukul Dhan Tripura reflects the dire poverty faced by many families in remote tribal areas of Tripura. His story has moved many to tears and calls for urgent attention from the government, NGOs, and compassionate citizens.
