TSF to Visit Colleges Across Tripura, Calls for Greater Student Participation
Hamano Jamatia, Secretary of the Tripura Students’ Federation, appealed to students and people across Tripura to support TSF’s activities. He said the organisation plans to visit colleges throughout the state and highlighted issues including scholarship delays, youth unemployment and educational conditions. He also said the government should be questioned on these concerns.
AGARTALA, TRIPURA: Tripura Students’ Federation (TSF) Secretary Hamano Jamatia has announced that the organisation’s divisional bodies will visit colleges across Tripura as part of an outreach programme aimed at connecting with students.
Speaking about the organisation’s activities, Jamatia said TSF wants to strengthen its engagement with the student community and encourage more young people to become members of the organisation.
He alleged that students often remember TSF when their scholarships are delayed or withheld by the government. Jamatia said the organisation intends to raise issues concerning students and their educational rights and urged young people to join the TSF membership programme.
Jamatia also spoke about the ongoing CJP protest at Agartala Circuit House, saying that raising such issues through protest is important. However, he argued that wider questions concerning the condition of Tripura’s youth should also receive attention.
According to Jamatia, unemployment among young people remains an important issue and should be discussed alongside other public concerns. He also questioned whether the Education Minister is adequately aware of the present condition of schools and students across the state.
He called for students and the public to raise questions about educational infrastructure, student welfare and the employment situation before the government.
Jamatia further appealed to people across Tripura to support TSF so that the organisation can strengthen its activities and continue raising issues concerning students and young people in the future.
