Tirthamukh, Tripura: Karbook MLA Sanjoy Manik Tripura has urged the Tripura government to take steps towards the modernisation of the Dumbur Hydro Project, submitting a proposal to Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath during a programme organised at Tirthamukh today.
The MLA called for the adoption of advanced technology, citing Japan and Germany as examples of countries known for modern engineering and technological development. He expressed the need to improve the project's performance and utilise its potential more effectively.
According to the proposal described by the MLA, the aim is to enhance the project's efficiency from an estimated 10% level towards its full potential. The specific technical and operational basis for this estimate would need to be assessed by the relevant authorities.
The proposal places emphasis on upgrading existing infrastructure, examining modern power-generation technologies and identifying practical measures to improve output.
The development of the Dumbur Hydro Project could be significant for Tripura's energy sector if technical studies establish opportunities for greater efficiency and reliable power generation.
