International Day of Yoga Observed at Karbook with the Theme 'Yoga for Healthy Ageing'

The 12th International Day of Yoga was celebrated at Karbook Panjiham Higher Secondary School Hall under the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing." The programme, organized by the Office of the SDM, Karbook, witnessed the participation of students, members of the Karbook Mohila Cluster, and several government officials. TTAADC MDC Sujay Uchai emphasized that yoga is essential for reducing stress, improving mental and physical health, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. The event was attended by SDM Pradip Debbarma, BDO Subrajit Paul, SDMO Dr. Dhanamani Tripura, SDPO Gamanjoy Reang, and other dignitaries.

Karbook, Gomati District | June 21 The 12th International Day of Yoga was observed with great enthusiasm at Karbook Panjiham Higher Secondary School Hall on Sunday. The programme was organised by the Office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karbook, under the global theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing." A large number of students, along with members of the Karbook Mohila Cluster, actively participated in the yoga session, promoting the importance of physical and mental well-being through regular yoga practice. Addressing the gathering, TTAADC MDC Sujay Uchai highlighted the significance of yoga in today's fast-paced world. He said that people from all walks of life—including social workers, government employees, and students—often experience stress and frustration due to their busy schedules. Practising yoga regularly helps maintain physical fitness, improves mental health, reduces stress, and brings peace of mind. He urged everyone to make yoga a part of their daily routine for a healthier and happier life. The programme was attended by SDM Pradip Debbarma, BDO Subrajit Paul, SDMO Dr. Dhanamani Tripura, SDPO Gamanjoy Reang, along with several other officials, dignitaries, teachers, and members of the public. The event concluded with a collective pledge to promote yoga as a healthy lifestyle practice and encourage greater public participation in the years to come.
