Six Bangladeshi nationals, including a child, were arrested by BSF at Ambassa Railway Station after illegally crossing the border into India. They were heading to Jalpaiguri for work. Acting on a tip-off, the 154th BSF Battalion conducted the operation. One detainee revealed he had earlier worked in Agartala as a mason. All detainees hail from Bagerhat district, Bangladesh. They are currently being interrogated and will be presented in court soon. BSF has not yet released an official statement.

Six Bangladeshi nationals, including a child, were caught by the BSF at Ambassa Railway Station after they crossed the border fence and entered India illegally. They were reportedly on their way to Jalpaiguri in search of work. Acting on a tip-off, the 154th Battalion of the BSF carried out the operation successfully.

One of the detainees claimed that he had entered Tripura about a month ago and worked as a mason in Agartala. Later, he was preparing to travel to Jalpaiguri through an agent.

It has been learned that all the detainees are residents of various police station areas in Bagerhat district, Bangladesh. The Ambassa GRP police and BSF officials are interrogating them, and sources say they will be produced before the court tomorrow.

However, the BSF authorities have not yet issued any official statement regarding the incident.
