Three Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested by Dharmanagar Police
On 29 October 2025, Dharmanagar Police arrested three Bangladeshi nationals from a forest area in Chandrapur based on a secret tip-off. Indian Aadhaar cards were recovered from their possession. During interrogation, it was revealed that they had entered India illegally about six months ago and later went to Bengaluru for work, where they managed to obtain Aadhaar cards. Officer-in-Charge Mina Debbarma stated that the name of a local agent, Islam Uddin, has surfaced in the case, and police are actively searching for him. The three Bangladeshi nationals will be produced before the court the next day.
According to Dharmanagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mina Debbarma, around 11 a.m. on 29 October, police received a tip-off that three Bangladeshi nationals were hiding in a forest area at Chandrapur under Dharmanagar Subdivision.
Acting on the information, a police team from Dharmanagar Police Station rushed to the spot and conducted a search operation in the forest, during which they found and detained the three Bangladeshi nationals. The detainees were brought to Dharmanagar Police Station, where Indian Aadhaar cards were found in their possession.
OC Mina Debbarma further stated that the three individuals had entered India around six months ago and had gone to Bengaluru for work, where they managed to obtain the Aadhaar cards. She also revealed that the name of a local broker, Islam Uddin, has surfaced during the investigation. Police have launched an intensive search to arrest him.
Currently, the three Bangladeshi nationals are being interrogated by police and will be produced before the court tomorrow, said on 29 October OC Mina Debbarma confirmed.
