Agartala, September 15, 2026: With preparations gaining momentum for the upcoming Village Committee (VC) Election 2026, the Tipra Motha Party has announced a team of senior leaders and elected representatives to serve as observers across several Rural Development (RD) Blocks.
The appointments were announced through a party notification issued on September 15, with the stated objective of improving ground-level coordination, organisational strength and election campaign management.
Under the new arrangement, MLA Ranjit Debbarma will be responsible for Bokafa and Jolaibari RD Blocks as well as all Village Committees under the Kathalia-Mirza Rajapur TTAADC Constituency. Former CEM and MDC Purna Chandra Jamatia has been assigned Satchand and Rupaichari RD Blocks.
MLA Biswajit Kalai will oversee Karbook, Silachari and Amarpur RD Blocks, while MLA Manab Debbarma has been given responsibility for Dumnagar and Rashiayabari.
Similarly, MDC Rabindra Debbarma will look after Chawmanu and Manu RD Blocks. TWF Central President Manihar Debbarma has been assigned Pecharthal and Ambassa, while MDC and YTF Central President Suraj Debbarma will oversee Ganganagar RD Block.
The party has further appointed MDC Jiten Debbarma for Kumarghat and Damcherra RD Blocks and MLA Pathanlal Jamatia for Dasda and Laljuri RD Blocks.
The Tipra Motha leadership has asked its MLAs, MDCs, party functionaries, officially nominated candidates and workers to extend necessary cooperation and logistical support to the appointed observers.
The move is being viewed as part of the party's broader organisational strategy to maintain coordination at the grassroots level and strengthen its election machinery ahead of the VC polls.
The notification was signed by Brishaketu Debbarma, General Secretary of the Tipra Motha Party.
