24 Missing Adolescents and Youths Recovered from Another State, Says District SP at Press Conference

Twenty-four adolescents and youths who had gone missing from the Chandipur Assembly area were safely recovered from Arunachal Pradesh by Unakoti District Police in coordination with the Arunachal Pradesh Police. According to District Superintendent of Police Sudhambika R, the rescue operation was launched after FIRs were registered and mobile locations were traced. The operation succeeded with direct coordination between the DGPs of Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh. The recovered youths are currently under police supervision and will be brought back to Tripura after legal formalities.

A wave of relief has swept across Unakoti district following the safe recovery of 24 missing adolescents and youths from Arunachal Pradesh. The youths, who had gone missing from the Chandipur Assembly constituency, were successfully rescued, as informed by Unakoti District Superintendent of Police Sudhambika R during a press conference held on Wednesday.

The Superintendent of Police stated that after missing complaints were filed at Kailashahar Police Station on Tuesday, FIRs were promptly registered and investigations were launched. By tracing mobile phone locations, police found that the youths had been taken to the Belang Police Station area in Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Acting swiftly, Unakoti district police coordinated with the Arunachal Pradesh Police and initiated a rescue operation.

SP Sudhambika R further said that the operation was successful due to direct coordination between Tripura DGP Anurag Dhankar (IPS) and Arunachal Pradesh DGP Anand Mohan (IPS). As a result, the Arunachal Pradesh Police safely recovered all 24 individuals. They are currently under police supervision, and after completing legal formalities, they will be brought back to Tripura soon.
