A wonderful and inspiring women’s knockout cricket tournament match was witnessed today under the Tirthamuk Cluster, Karbook RD Block, featuring Tirthamuk VO and Motha Kwrak VO. The match impressed spectators with performances that at times looked no less than professional players, earning loud cheers and appreciation from the crowd.
Although some technical aspects of the game were missing, it was completely understandable, as all the players are housewives who spend their daily lives caring for their families, preparing food, and managing households. Stepping out from the kitchen to the playground with full energy is not easy, yet these women proved their determination, confidence, and unity.
At the start of the match, Tirthamuk VO won the toss and decided to field first. Batting in their allotted 8 overs, Motha Kwrak VO scored a total of 32 runs, losing 4 wickets.
